Guides by Dr. Farhan for IVF dating, scans, and early pregnancy after transfer.

This library is the long-form side of the site: how IVF due dates are counted, what typically happens after transfer, and when a symptom belongs on your clinic’s after-hours line. Pages are educational. They are written by Dr. Farhan. Associated with Ghazi Hospital. Dr. Farhan is a physician. Associated with Ghazi Hospital. This website is educational only — not medical advice, not remote diagnosis, and not a doctor–patient relationship. Confirm care with your own clinic.

How this library is organized

Cards above group live articles by what patients actually search after a clinic date is on paper. IVF basics covers stimulation, retrieval, grading, and what the lab is doing before transfer. Treatments covers protocol choices people are already discussing with a reproductive endocrinologist (PGT-A, ERA, lining, medications). IVF pregnancy is the largest set: first scan, spotting, betas, NIPT versus PGT-A, due-date fights with ultrasound, and trimester notes after a documented transfer.

We do not keep a padded “emotional support” or “blogs” doorway in this hub. Those thin category pages are not a counseling clinic, and a single essay is not a support directory. If you need crisis help, use your clinic after-hours line or local emergency services.

What belongs in the calculator versus an article

The due date calculator answers one question: given a transfer, retrieval, or IUI date plus embryo age, what educational due date and gestational age follow from 266 days minus that age (Day 5 = +261, Day 3 = +263, retrieval/IUI = +266). Articles answer the next questions: why an app used a fake LMP, what a first ultrasound is for, when spotting is common, and why a planner page should not compete with the pregnancy guide.

Old satellite calculator URLs (FET, IUI, retrieval, weeks, beta) 301 to /calculator/ with a starting question. We do not keep six copies of the same widget. The long “due date planner” URL 301s to the pregnancy guide so Google is not asked to rank two outlines of the same calendar.

How dates are written here

When a guide mentions weeks pregnant, it means transfer-based obstetric dating, not a guessed last period. Freeze date, first estrogen pill, and trigger-shot day are not substitutes for transfer morning plus embryo stage. If a first-trimester scan is within about five days of the IVF date, many teams keep the IVF date. Later scans are worse at dating. Confirm every number with the chart that has your embryology report.

What we will not write

  • Invented hospital appointments, license numbers, or a rubber-stamp “medically reviewed” line on every post.
  • Guaranteed success rates or supplement stacks sold as treatment.
  • Personal reads of a stranger’s beta, ultrasound image, or embryo photo sent by email.

Corrections and calculator bugs go to contact or editorial policy. Read the named editor page if you want the same “not a physician” sentence that appears on the homepage.
